Adult and Pediatric Physical Therapy

Physical therapy can help children develop gross motor skills and promote active participation in their home, school, and community environments.

Physical therapy facilitates the improvement of strength, endurance, coordination, mobility, motor control, balance, motor planning, and use of assistive equipment in support of developing various skills. Pediatric physical therapy utilizes specialized training in these areas listed above to to support children and their families in reaching their maximum potential.

Physical therapy is a diverse field that involves working with children, adolescents, and adults with a broad range of diagnoses.

These diagnoses may include:
• Hypotonia (low muscle tone)
• Developmental delay
• Neurological diagnoses (ex: cerebral palsy)
• Toe walking
• Torticollis and plagiocephaly
• Pain
• Various genetic diagnoses

Other clinical service, methods, and programs we often use in conjunction with physical therapy treatment.

Therapeutic Intensive

Therapeutic Intensives are daily treatment sessions provided over a short-term, intensive format that are individualized to each client. Treatment disciplines include occupational therapy, physical therapy, and/or speech therapy.

Peer Groups

Peer groups are formed on a case-by-case basis depending on the needs of individual clients. Peer groups are tailored to the needs of the children in the group and formed in order to target specific developmental and social goals.

Penguins Therapeutic Play Groups

These therapeutic play groups provide extra support in peer and group situations, providing a multi-disciplinary approach in order to increase success within a typical preschool.


Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps children and adults develop the skills needed for play, socialization, learning, and participation in daily activities.
