Beth Osten and Associates provides comprehensive multidisciplinary feeding evaluations for clients from infancy to adolescence.
The feeding team includes an occupational therapist, speech pathologist, nutritionist, and mental health professional.
Each discipline assesses various areas to determine contributing factors to challenges such as:
• Oral motor issues
• Chewing issues
• Sensory-based feeding concerns
• Limited food intake
• Food selectivity and picky eating
Following our comprehensive evaluation process, feeding concerns are addressed with clients and their families. From this point, priorities for treatment are determined through communication with families and therapists, with goals generated based on this communication. Our feeding therapists are trained in SOS and Food Chaining.
Other clinical service, methods, and programs we often use in conjunction with feeding & swallowing therapy treatment.
Occupational therapy helps children and adults develop the skills needed for play, socialization, learning, and participation in daily activities.
