Fine Motor Intensive

Helping to develop the underlying foundations needed for play, socialization, learning, and participation in daily living skills.

Our fine motor interventions address the range of fine motor skills needed for age appropriate performance on fine motor demands both at school and home.

Research indicates that a significant portion of a child’s school day consists of fine motor tasks ranging from cutting, pasting, constructing, handwriting, etc. Specific skills addressed in this intensive include manipulative skills, hand strength and coordination, tool usage, visual-motor skills, pre-writing, and writing skills. Typing skills and adaptive technology use are addressed as well for older children.
