Therapeutic Intensives are daily treatment sessions provided over a short-term format that is determined by the therapy team.

Intensives are individualized to each child or adult. Treatment disciplines include occupational therapy, physical therapy, and/or speech therapy.

A variety of supplemental programs may be offered, including but not limited to: DIRFloortime® sessions, parent coaching, mental health (psychology, social work), and educational support. The intensive model might also include Auditory Integration Training (AIT), Interactive Metronome® (IM), Integrated Listening System (iLS), and Therapeutic Listening.

Interactive Metronome® - We combine therapist expertise with IM technology to support the improvement of Neurotiming within key parts of the brain involved in motor and sensory skills, cognition, and communication.

Intensives are a great option for long distance clients.

An intensive model is beneficial for those who geographically cannot access weekly services but would like to benefit from the unique therapy model Beth Osten & Associates offers. Clients who reside out of state (or even country!) typically participate in an intensive program from one week to one month and receive a combination of services each day for maximum benefit.

Individualized programs that focus on specific goals.

This model can also be used by current clients as a supplement, or as an alternative to, weekly therapy sessions. Programs are designed specifically to meet the needs of each client, including daily frequency, disciplines involved, and treatment modalities used.

Programs focus on a variety of goals depending on the needs of the client. Goals can include engagement and social interaction, core strengthening, fine and gross motor skills, school readiness, self-regulation, language and communication.
